The Pentair WhisperFloXF Five Horsepower Three-Phase Pump 022019 with TEFC Super-Duty Motor is a true commercial-duty swimming pool pump. The TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) WFXF SD motor is much more robust and corrosion proof than standard ODP (Open Drip Proof) motors. This commercial-duty motor construction does not allow ambient air to enter the motor; preventing corrosion from the inside out. The aluminum motor also has an anodized surface finish for increased corrosion-resistance and greatly improved service life. The motor design features heavy-duty sealed bearings and an ultra-strong aluminum fan for superior cooling; along with Class F insulation for compatibility with Pentair Aquatic Systems' Acu-Drive Variable Frequency Drives. Featuring ratings offering flow capabilities in excess of 200 gpm, WhisperFloXF 3-phase TEFC Super-Duty pool pump is an ideal choice for many continuous-duty commercial installations, especially those prone to coastal elements, harsh environments, and "up-time critical" applications.
