The Hayward CL220 Off-Line Automatic Chlorinator is a great way to spend more time enjoying your pool, and less time maintaining it. The CL220 is efficient and maintenance-free. The CL220 is a durable, corrosion-proof automatic chlorinator that is ideal for new or existing pools or spas and works automatically with your pump and filter system. By using an automatic chlorinator you will save yourself maintenance time and also reduce the amount of manual handling for your pool’s chemicals. The CL220 Automatic Chlorinator features a dial control valve that lets you control and adjust the rate of feed, or chlorine output.
Always install the chlorinator AFTER your heater. Damage to the heater or filter may result if concentrated chlorine is allowed to flow through the units. An in-line positive seal check valve should be installed for units with a heater to reduce the backflow of chlorine gas when the system is shut off.
This unit comes with all the necessary components to complete this offline installation (hoses, saddle fittings, etc). Teflon tape, drill, 3/8” bit and other basic installation components are not included. The saddle fittings and clamps are designed to fit the O.D. of 1 1/2” or 2” pipe.
